About Kasturi Walk

Kasturi Walk is the covered pedestrian lane running along the side of Central Market, opened in 2011 and marked at its entrance by a large wau bulan (moon kite) sculpture. Kiosks sell T-shirts, fridge magnets, keychains, small batik items and other low-cost souvenirs, alongside street snacks such as pisang goreng (banana fritters) and cold drinks.

Prices sit between Petaling Street and the shops inside Central Market, and light bargaining works on multi-item purchases. It keeps the same hours as Central Market, so you can browse the lane before or after a look inside. Petaling Street is a five-minute walk east.
