Weekend and school-holiday rates are often much higher, because JB fills with visitors from Singapore. Foreign guests also pay a Tourism Tax of RM10 per room per night at check-in. DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru occupies the upper floors of Menara Landmark on Jalan Ngee Heng, in the Ibrahim International Business District about 650 m from Johor Bahru City Square. Amari Johor Bahru is on Jalan Wong Ah Fook in the central business district, a few minutes from City Square, Komtar JBCC and Zenith Mall, and within walking distance of the Persada convention centre. Novotel Johor Bahru City Centre
Novotel Johor Bahru City Centre is a recently opened Accor hotel on Jalan Harimau in Taman Abad, beside the KSL City mall and about 3 km north of the checkpoint. Booking.com lists an indoor pool, a gym, a bar and a family-friendly restaurant serving halal Malaysian, Asian and international dishes, and family rooms are available.

KSL Hotel & Resort
KSL Hotel & Resort sits inside the KSL City shopping mall in Taman Abad, a short walk from Holiday Plaza and a few minutes' drive from the Causeway.
