About Uroot Spa Petaling Street
Uroot (a play on urut, the Malay word for massage) opened its Chinatown branch in October 2025 inside a restored 100-year-old shophouse on Jalan Petaling. It is run by the team behind the Urban Retreat spa chain and is the most convenient place in the old town for a traditional Malaysian massage after walking Petaling Street and Kwai Chai Hong.
The signature Urutan Malaysia massage blends Malay, Chinese and Indian techniques with warm oils. At Uroot outlets, 60-minute body massages start at about RM139 (Relaxing Sleep) and RM149 (Deep Root); confirm the Petaling Street menu when booking via WhatsApp or the website. Foot massage is also available. Pasar Seni LRT station is a five-minute walk away.
