About Taman Tugu

Taman Tugu is 66 acres of secondary forest in the middle of the city, between the National Monument, Perdana Botanical Gardens and the city skyline. A colour-coded network of trails covers about 4 to 5 km in total: the Green and Yellow trails are about 1.5 km each and the White and Orange trails about 1 km. The Green Trail alone takes under an hour and the full network about two hours.

Entry is free and needs no permit or registration. The main entrance is the Taman Tugu Nursery car park; a second car park at Laman Taman Tugu opens on weekends and public holidays. There are benches at checkpoints, a covered picnic area with fans, a kiosk selling drinks and insect repellent, and an education centre on river conservation. A bell rings at 6 pm before closing. Without a car, walk from Muzium Negara MRT through Perdana Botanical Gardens.
