About Wadda Gurdwara Sahib

Wadda Gurdwara Sahib is one of the oldest Sikh temples in Southeast Asia. The land was granted to the Sikh community in 1897, Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee year, and the gurdwara was completed soon after. A RM6.1 million restoration completed in 2026 has returned the heritage building to its white facade and golden dome.

Visitors of all faiths are welcome. Cover your head, remove shoes and wash your feet before entering the prayer hall, and do not bring tobacco or alcohol. The community kitchen (langar) serves free vegetarian meals. It is about 10 minutes by Grab from the heritage core.
