About Deen Maju Nasi Kandar
Deen Maju opened on Jalan Gurdwara (Brick Kiln Road) in 2016 and quickly became one of the most queued-for nasi kandar shops in Penang. The draw is the "Chicken 75" fried chicken and the lamb shank, piled onto rice and flooded with mixed curries the way Penang regulars like it.
It costs noticeably more than older nasi kandar shops because the meats are large and priced individually; one recent dinner for two came to RM127. Queues build on weekends, public holidays and school breaks, and parking on Jalan Gurdwara is tight, so a Grab is easier. Phone: 012-425 2421.
