About Sungai Ara Linear Park
Sungai Ara Linear Park (Taman Jajar) follows the Ara river through the residential south of the island, with footpaths and small bridges on both banks under shady trees. It is a neighbourhood park rather than a sight, but it is one of the pleasanter places in the Bayan Lepas area for an early walk or run, and local residents' groups help look after the river.
Entry is free. The park works well combined with a meal in Sungai Ara or Relau, and the state council has announced a further neighbourhood park along the river in the next phase of development. There is street parking in the surrounding housing estates.
