Reggae Bar Penang is the closest thing on Chulia Street to a small dance club. The room has a domed, igloo-style interior with laser and disco lighting, and a live band plays every night from about 8 pm until closing. Sets lean towards crowd-pleasing covers, and the floor usually fills after midnight once the backpacker crowd moves over from the surrounding bars.
