About Black Kettle
Black Kettle combines a bakery counter, cafe and bistro inside a restored high-ceilinged building on the northern end of Beach Street, with wood and black fittings and an airwell overhead. The bread is naturally leavened, and the bakery side sells baguettes (RM5.50), croissants (RM6.50), pain au chocolat (RM7.50), wholemeal and Normandy loaves (RM16) and Paris-Brest (RM15).
It is one of the roomier cafes in the heritage core, so it handles groups and all-day brunch better than the narrow shophouse coffee bars. Come in the morning for the fullest bread selection. Phone 04-251 9270.
