About Taman Tasik Permaisuri (Queen's Lake Gardens)

Taman Tasik Permaisuri is a Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) park in Cheras, about 15 km south-east of the city centre. It covers 49.4 hectares around a 14-acre lake with four small islands, and includes Laman Iskandar Puteri, a traditional Malay royal garden with flower beds and fountains. The park was developed from 1984 and officially opened in 1989.

It is a local park rather than a sight, popular with families, joggers and morning exercise groups, and it sits next to a sports complex, swimming pool and stadium. Entry is free. DBKL extended its hours in May 2026 to 5:30 am to 10 pm daily. A Grab from the city centre takes about 20 to 30 minutes outside rush hour; for enquiries call DBKL on 03 2617 9000.
