About Taman Connaught Night Market
Every Wednesday evening, about two kilometres of Jalan Cerdas in Cheras closes to traffic and fills with hundreds of stalls, making the Taman Connaught pasar malam one of the longest night markets in the Klang Valley. Most of the street is food: grilled skewers, apam balik, Taiwanese fried chicken, char kuey teow, fresh fruit, kuih and drinks, alongside clothing and household stalls.
Stalls start trading around 5 pm and the crowd peaks between 7 and 9 pm, when you will be walking shoulder to shoulder. Halal and non-halal vendors trade side by side, so check each stall's signage. Bring cash in small notes. The Taman Connaught MRT station on the Kajang line is a short walk from the market, which avoids the evening traffic on Jalan Cerdas.
