About Bukit Gasing Forest Park

Bukit Gasing is a 100-hectare forest reserve on the border between Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur. Loops of about 2.7 to 4.3 km climb through the forest with around 200 to 240 metres of ascent, and most walkers finish in one to two hours. There are five entrances, including the main Petaling Jaya entrance at Hutan Pendidikan Bukit Gasing and entrances from Pantai Hill Park and Taman Rimba Bukit Kerinchi on the KL side.

Day hiking is free with no permit or registration. The suspension bridge, the park's best-known landmark, was reported temporarily inaccessible from July 2025, so check its status before you go. The area near the Sri Sivan temple and the TM tower has many monkeys. Parking at the main entrance is limited and fills quickly at weekends, and the council does issue summonses for roadside parking, so go on a weekday morning or come by Grab.
