Petaling Jaya has the cake and waffle shops, mostly in SS 2, Seksyen 17, Sunway Mentari and 1 Utama. Cendol is easier to find further out, in Klang and Banting, where the sources we read describe it as a local favourite. Fluffed Cafe
Fluffed Cafe is known for fluffy waffles and bespoke cakes. Items named in a December 2025 Selangor tourism guide include a salmon sashimi bingsu and a Dubai chocolate waffle, and it runs a "Woofle Season" with free waffles for pets on set dates.
Fluffed has several outlets in the Klang Valley; the Sunway Mentari shop is the one in Selangor that we could confirm. Its Grab listing (October 2026) gives daily hours of 12:30 pm to 10 pm.
Xiao By Crustz
Xiao By Crustz makes themed petit gateau cakes with playful designs and shapes, and sells pastries. It is pet-friendly.
Its Grab listing (October 2026) gives 10:30 am to 5 pm on Monday, Wednesday and at weekends, 10 am to 5 pm on Thursday and Friday, and closed on Tuesdays. A June 2025 guide listed longer weekend hours, so check before an evening visit.
Champignons Patisserie
Champignons Patisserie is a cake shop in the Old Wing of 1 Utama, known for its soft yoghurt cheesecake. It also sells strawberry cheesecake, black forest cake and a sakura Earl Grey cake.
It follows mall hours, from 10 am to 10 pm and until 10:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays (June 2025 KL Foodie guide). It is the easiest cake stop on this page if you are already shopping at 1 Utama.
Pohutukawa Coffee
Pohutukawa Coffee in Seksyen 17 is a cake cafe with unusual flavours. A June 2025 cake guide lists a basil tomato cake, a pumpkin pecan cake, a grapefruit genmaicha chiffon cake, a blueberry cheesecake and a matcha cream cheese cake.
It is open Tuesday to Saturday from 11 am to 10 pm and Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm, closed Mondays. Prices are not published.
Cake Jalan Tiung
Cake Jalan Tiung is a dessert and light-meal cafe in Section 4, Shah Alam. A Tourism Selangor guide to Shah Alam from October 2025 lists its salted caramel chocolate cake and egg tarts, and notes matcha strawberry drinks, pasta and sandwiches.
The guide gives only the section, not a street number or hours, so confirm both on Google Maps before you go.
Cendol Ibrahim Banting
Cendol Ibrahim in Banting, in the Kuala Langat district, is named in a November 2025 Tourism Selangor feature as a place for cold, creamy cendol. Cendol is shaved ice with green rice-flour jelly, coconut milk and palm sugar syrup.
The feature does not give a street address, hours or prices, so check before making a special trip. Banting is roughly an hour south-west of Kuala Lumpur by car.
Pasar Jawa Klang
Pasar Jawa is a market in Klang, and a May 2026 Tourism Selangor feature on Klang singles out its cendol and rojak as popular with locals. The photo shows the Kompleks Pasar Jawa building.
The feature does not name individual stalls or give hours, so ask at the market for the cendol seller. Pasar Jawa is also close to the LRT station of the same name.

Cake and waffle cafes in Petaling Jaya open around midday and run late, so they suit an after-dinner stop. Several are closed one day a week: Monday at Pohutukawa Coffee and Tuesday at Xiao By Crustz.

Cendol is shaved ice with green rice-flour jelly, coconut milk and gula Melaka syrup. Ask for it with red beans or sweet corn, and expect to pay a few ringgit at a market stall.
