About Pantai Remis
In Jeram. Pantai Remis in the Jeram area of Kuala Selangor is a long shoreline with grilled-fish stalls and seafood restaurants along the front. Families come in the late afternoon to eat grilled fish and mussels and to watch the sun go down over the calm Straits, with small islands on the horizon. This is the Selangor town of Jeram, not the Pantai Remis in Perak.
The beach is a place for walking, eating and watching the sunset; the water is shallow and the tide goes far out. Most stalls are Malay-run, but check the signage if halal matters. It is about an hour from Kuala Lumpur by car, and there is no public transport that gets you there easily.
