About i-City
i-City is a 72-acre development beside the Federal Highway in Shah Alam that opened in 2002 and calls itself the City of Digital Lights. Its LED-lit gardens are the draw after dark, and CNN Travel named it among the brightest and most colourful places in the world in 2017. Paid attractions inside include the SnoWalk, which keeps a snowy arctic setting below 5 degrees Celsius, the WaterWorld water park and the Red Carpet 2 wax museum, plus the large Central i-City mall and two hotels.
Walking the lit grounds is free, while each attraction sells its own tickets. A Wikivoyage entry updated in May 2025 gives SnoWalk hours of 10 am to 1 am and prices of RM10 to RM30, but opening times and ticket prices change, so check with the attraction before you go. Shah Alam is about 30 to 45 minutes from central KL by car or Grab, depending on traffic. See also i-City at night.
