About The Majestic Malacca
The Majestic Malacca is built around a restored 1920s Straits Settlement mansion on the Melaka River, which keeps its original porcelain floor tiles and teak fittings. A newer wing behind it holds most of the guest rooms, and the two signature suites on the top floor, the Majestic and the Tranquerah, are about 70 square metres each. The hotel belongs to YTL Hotels and also houses Spa Village Malacca, which offers Peranakan-style treatments.
Booking.com lists an outdoor pool, a library and free parking, and guests rate it 8.9 out of 10 from more than 1,100 reviews. The lowest rate we saw on Booking.com in late October 2026 was about RM541 a night. It is roughly 1.1 km from Jonker Walk along the river path, and the hotel says Melaka International Airport is a 19-minute drive. Check-out is 11 am, an hour earlier than most hotels in town.
