About Ringo's Foyer
Ringo's Foyer is a long-running backpacker guesthouse on Jalan Portugis, at the quieter northern edge of the old Chinese quarter, a few minutes' walk from Jonker Street. Rooms are air-conditioned with shared bathrooms, and there is a rooftop terrace, a garden lounge and a washing machine for guests.
The guesthouse organises film nights, walking tours and cycling, and rents out bikes. It had more than 200 Booking.com reviews rated Very Good, with rooms from about RM55 a night in late October 2026.
