About Blue Lagoon
Blue Lagoon (Pantai Tanjung Biru) is a small bay at the tip of Tanjung Tuan, a cape that belongs to Melaka state even though you reach it through Port Dickson. Travel guides describe it as one of the better swimming spots on this coast, there are hotels and resorts nearby, and it gets crowded on weekends and holidays.
Above it, the cape is a forest reserve and wildlife sanctuary, listed as an Important Bird Area, where migrating hawks and eagles pass between September and March. Cape Rachado Lighthouse stands on the site of a lighthouse first built by the Portuguese in the 1520s, and Puncak Batu Putih is a short weekend hike. Access to the forest and lighthouse can change, so check at the entrance.
