About Melaka Sultanate Palace Museum
This is a timber reconstruction of the palace of the 15th-century Melaka Sultanate, based on descriptions in the Malay Annals. It was built between 1984 and 1986 using hardwood and wooden pegs instead of nails, and opened in July 1986.
Inside, three floors hold a throne room, royal chambers, costumes, weapons and dioramas of court life, around 1,350 items in all.
