Hertz Malaysia lists its Senai Airport branch at counter E10-1 in the public concourse of the Aeromall, the shopping area of the airport terminal. It is open Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 6 pm; on Sundays and public holidays staff only meet confirmed reservations, so book online before you fly if you land at the weekend.
Hertz pitches this branch at visitors from Singapore heading for Johor's food and shopping, with compact cars such as the Perodua Myvi and Toyota Yaris, SUVs and MPVs for longer trips to Desaru or Batu Pahat, and BMW models subject to availability. Basic insurance is included in Hertz Malaysia rentals, with excess reduction offered at booking.
Avis Senai Airport
Avis Malaysia's Senai Airport branch (code JHB) is at counter E10-5 in the Aeromall, a few counters from Hertz. It opens Sunday to Thursday from 8 am to 6 pm and on Fridays, Saturdays and public holidays from 8 am to 5 pm; the phone number is +607-590 8821 and the mobile contact is +6019-230 8983.
Book on the Avis Malaysia website and quote your flight number, and if your flight lands after the counter closes, call ahead to ask whether a late handover is possible rather than assuming one.

Hertz Johor Bahru
Hertz's downtown Johor Bahru branch is in the podium of Menara Ansar, in the Ibrahim International Business District a short walk from JB Sentral and Komtar JBCC. It keeps the same hours as the airport desk: Monday to Saturday 8 am to 6 pm, with Sunday and public holiday handovers for confirmed reservations only.
It is the more convenient Hertz desk if you crossed the Causeway by train or bus and want to collect a car in town. Hertz Malaysia also offers airport transfers with a driver from Senai and a weekly or monthly car subscription for longer stays.
Avis Johor Bahru
Avis Johor Bahru Downtown (code JH2) is on the mezzanine floor of the Trove hotel on Jalan Dato' Abdullah Tahir, north of the city centre towards Taman Abad and KSL City. Its hours match the Senai desk: Sunday to Thursday 8 am to 6 pm and Fridays, Saturdays and public holidays 8 am to 5 pm. Phone +607-272 9594 or 9596.
Avis lists a Johor site office at Pengerang too, but that serves the industrial area on the far south-east coast and closes at weekends, so for most visitors the city and Senai desks are the ones to use.
Mayflower Johor Bahru
Mayflower Car Rental, part of the Malaysian Mayflower group, lists "Mayflower Johor Bahru (Holiday Villa Johor Bahru City Centre)" as its pickup and drop-off point in the city, on Jalan Dato Sulaiman near KSL City. It is one of Mayflower's branches outside its Kuala Lumpur head office, alongside Penang, Kuantan and East Malaysia.
Book on the Mayflower website or through its reservations team on +603-6253 1888 (Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm). Mayflower's own terms say drivers must be 21 to 65 years old with at least two years' driving experience, and that interstate travel is allowed but taking the car overseas, for example to Singapore or Thailand, is not.
WAHDAH
WAHDAH is a Malaysian app and web-based rental company. In Johor it lists free delivery to a pickup and drop-off point at JB Sentral, its WAHDAH Gateway Hub in JB and Senai International Airport, plus handovers at the Larkin Sentral main entrance, the Puteri Harbour International Ferry Terminal and hotels including the Legoland Hotel, DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru, Renaissance, Fives Hotel, Teega Residence and Holiday Inn Johor Bahru City Centre.
In October 2026 WAHDAH quoted an average of RM135 a day in Johor, with the Perodua Axia as its cheapest car, Myvis from RM150 and MPVs from RM255 a day. It says it offers pickup and return for customers coming from Singapore, using its JB office as the handover point. Cars are handed over at a meeting point rather than a staffed desk, so keep your phone on after you clear immigration.

Read your rental agreement before planning a day across the Causeway or the Second Link. Mayflower's terms say overseas travel, including to Singapore, is not permitted, and you should assume the same for any company unless it confirms otherwise in writing.
