About Bukit China

Bukit China (Chinese Hill) is linked by tradition with Hang Li Po, the Chinese princess said to have married Sultan Mansur Shah in the 15th century. The hill and two neighbours form a Chinese cemetery of more than 12,000 graves, some dating from the Ming dynasty, and paths run up through it.

At the foot of the hill are Hang Li Poh's Well, a wishing well walled in by the Dutch in 1677, and Poh San Teng temple, which is in the Melaka temples guide.
