About Lorong TAR Saturday Night Market
Every Saturday from 5 pm, Lorong Tuanku Abdul Rahman, the lane that runs behind Jalan TAR between the Masjid India area and Sogo, closes to traffic and fills with hundreds of stalls. It is the most central weekly pasar malam in KL and has a Malay character: stalls sell kuih, grilled corn, murtabak, keropok lekor, fried chicken and fresh drinks, alongside cheap clothing, fabric, scarves and household goods.
Most food stalls are Malay-run and halal. Bring small notes, although some stalls now display a DuitNow QR code. Medan Tuanku monorail station and Bandaraya LRT station are both within a 10-minute walk, so there is no need to drive. The lane is crowded after 7 pm, so keep bags zipped.
