About Kanching Falls (Taman Eko Rimba Kanching)
Kanching Falls is a chain of seven waterfall tiers in the Taman Eko Rimba Kanching forest park, about 7 km south of Rawang and 21 km north of Kuala Lumpur. Concrete paths, steps and bridges lead up past the lower tiers, with gazebos, picnic spots and natural pools for a dip. The higher tiers need more climbing on rough trail.
The park is open daily from 8 am to 5 pm. Entry is RM10 for non-Malaysians on weekdays and RM12 at weekends and on public holidays (RM4 and RM5 for Malaysians), plus RM5 per car. Rain in the hills makes the river rise quickly, so leave the water if it starts to rain, and take care on slippery rocks. Watch your bags around the monkeys. Drive or take a Grab, around 40 minutes from the city centre.
