About Tanjung Tuan (Cape Rachado) Forest and Lighthouse
Distance from KL: about 110 km, roughly 1 hour 45 minutes by car, at the same end of the Port Dickson coast as Blue Lagoon. Public transport: bus from TBS to Port Dickson, then Grab or taxi to the forest entrance.
Tanjung Tuan, known in English as Cape Rachado, is a forested headland gazetted as a forest reserve in 1921. It belongs to Melaka but has no land link to the rest of the state, so you reach it through Port Dickson. A paved road and trails climb through the forest to the Cape Rachado Lighthouse, about 30 to 45 minutes each way, and side paths lead down to small beaches such as Monkey Bay; allow two to three hours for the full walk. Entry is RM1 for adults, paid at the counter, and children are free. Combine it with a swim at Blue Lagoon.
