About Bagan Lalang Beach, Sepang
Distance from KL: about 75 km south, roughly 1 hour by car; it is about 25 minutes from KLIA and 30 minutes from the Sepang International Circuit. Public transport: KLIA Ekspres from KL Sentral to KLIA, then about 25 minutes by Grab.
Bagan Lalang is a long casuarina-lined beach at the mouth of the Sepang river, popular with campers and motorhome owners at weekends. The Sepang Municipal Council looks after the walkways, food court and toilets, and holds a beach festival with sports and performances. A New Straits Times feature in September 2026 described evenings of sunset watching, fishing and night crab spotting, but noted the sea here is not suitable for swimming. It is a good stop on the way to or from the airport.
