About Cacao Mixology & Chocolate
Cacao Mixology & Chocolate sits on Level 75 of Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur inside Merdeka 118, which makes it the highest bar in the city. It is an indoor lounge rather than an open-air rooftop, but the floor-to-ceiling windows look straight down over Chinatown and across to KLCC. The whole menu is built around Malaysian cacao: spirit-forward cocktails with a bitter chocolate edge, chocolate and aged-spirit flights, and zero-proof drinks that draw on the fruitier side of the bean. Examples include The Cacao Club, with durian notes, and the Cacao-Nut Highball, made with Kelantan dark chocolate and house pandan coconut soda. A 19kg block of house-made 70% dark chocolate is shaved to order at a dedicated chocolate table.
The bar was named in Tatler's Best 20 Bars Malaysia 2026. Reservations are recommended and are effectively required at weekends, when walk-ins may not be seated. A five-course cacao pairing with wines and cocktails costs RM388 per person; à la carte cocktails are priced at luxury-hotel level, so check the menu when booking.
