About Giam Island

Giam Island (Pulau Giam) is a small island a short boat ride from Coral Bay and Teluk Nipah. It has a small sandy beach and a snorkelling spot where boats stop, and it has become popular as a half-day trip from Pangkor.

A boat is commonly arranged on the beach or through a guesthouse; we could not find a current fare (older reports give about RM100 to RM200 a boat), and prices rise on school and public holidays, so agree the price and return time first. Wear sturdy water shoes: the rocks and coral are sharp and broken glass has been reported.
