About Templer Forest Eco Park
In Rawang. Templer Park is a hill-forest reserve of about 1.200 hectares set aside as a wildlife sanctuary in the 1950s, and the eco park inside it is run by the Selangor Forestry Department. The draw is dipterocarp forest, rocky streams, waterfalls at several points and natural pools where families paddle on weekends. Trails range from short riverside strolls to steeper climbs.
An older Tourism Selangor listing gives daytime opening and a very low entry fee, but we found no current schedule, so confirm on the day or ring the forestry office on +603 5544 7507. It is usually quiet on weekdays and busy on Sundays. River levels rise fast after rain in the hills, so leave the water if the sky darkens upstream.
