Tentang Bukit Gasing Forest Park
In Petaling Jaya. Bukit Gasing is a forest reserve of roughly 100 hectares on the Petaling Jaya side of the border with Kuala Lumpur, with loops of about 2,7 to 4,3 km that gain 200 to 240 metres. Most walkers finish in one to two hours. It is a workout hill for Petaling Jaya residents more than a sightseeing stop, so expect joggers and exercise groups from early morning.
Day hiking is free and needs no permit. The suspension bridge was reported inaccessible from July 2025, so check its status before you count on it. Macaques gather near the temple and the telecom tower, so keep food zipped away. Parking at the main entrance is tight at weekends and the council does issue summonses for roadside parking: arrive early on a weekday or take a Grab.
