About Morib Beach
In Banting. Morib is about 65 km south-west of Kuala Lumpur and has long been the default weekend beach for the Klang Valley. A strip of roughly 3 km of shore is lined with casuarina trees and Malay food stalls. The water is shallow and brown and the tide runs a long way out, so the day is spent walking the flats, flying kites, looking for crabs and waiting for the sunset.
Pantai Baru Morib (Morib New Beach) is reached along Jalan Morib Tongkah and has a wider stretch of sand. The Kuala Langat District Council manages the beach (+603 3187 2825). There is no useful rail or bus link, so drive or book a Grab, and check the tide table before you go.
