About Melaka Botanical Garden
Melaka Botanical Garden (Taman Botanikal Melaka) opened in 1984 as the Ayer Keroh Recreational Forest and took its present name in 2006. Tourism Melaka gives its area as 92,5 hectares. It mixes landscaped gardens with patches of tall lowland forest, picnic spots, playgrounds and paved paths for walking, jogging and cycling, including a signposted 10.000-steps route.
Entry to the grounds is free; the Forestry Museum, rentals and other paid activities charge separately, and the Skytrex rope course is inside the park. The grounds are big and mostly outdoors, so bring water, sun protection and insect repellent, and do not feed the monkeys.
