About Taman Botani Negara Shah Alam
In Shah Alam. The National Botanical Gardens is a very large park, about 800 hectares, on the edge of Shah Alam run by the Ministry of Agriculture. It holds themed gardens (ornamental, spice, herbs, tropical fruit and cactus), a small animal park, two reservoirs, a mystery tunnel and a replica village of traditional houses. The grounds are far too big to walk in one go, so use the shuttle bus or a bicycle.
Entry and parking fees are low, but we could not confirm the current rates or opening times from a recent source. Older listings show Monday closing outside public and school holidays and a mid-afternoon closing time, so go in the morning. Call +603 5510 6922 to confirm.
