About Pantai Redang Sekinchan

In Sekinchan. Pantai Redang is a quiet beach beside Sekinchan, best known for the Wishing Tree, a tree hung with thousands of red ribbons where visitors tie a coin and make a wish. Tourism Selangor notes that the beach has also been used as a filming location. It is not related to the island of Redang off the east coast.

Swimming is not recommended; people come to look at the tree, watch shorebirds on the flats and fly kites. Seafood restaurants are close by in the Bagan fishing area. Facilities are basic, so bring water. It makes an easy add-on to a visit to the Sekinchan paddy fields, about 1 hour 30 minutes from the city.
