Selangor bars are spread across the towns around Kuala Lumpur rather than packed into one street. This guide lists 5 Selangor bars we could check for October 2026: two neighbourhood cocktail bars in Petaling Jaya, a beer-and-food bar in SS15 Subang Jaya, a hotel bar in Bandar Sunway and a restaurant-bar in Setia Alam, Shah Alam. Bars inside Kuala Lumpur city, such as those in Bangsar and Bukit Damansara, are on our KL bars guide instead.

Remedy Cocktail Bar
Remedy is a cocktail bar on an upper floor of a shop row in Taman Paramount, a Petaling Jaya neighbourhood with several small bars and cafes. It was one of only two Petaling Jaya bars in KL Foodie's May 2025 round-up of the best cocktail bars in KL and PJ.
The hours above come from that May 2025 guide. Taman Paramount LRT station is nearby, so it is one of the easier Selangor bars to reach without a car.
Dissolved Solids
Dissolved Solids is a cocktail bar on the first floor of a shop lot in Damansara Kim, a quiet residential pocket of Petaling Jaya between Damansara Uptown and Taman Tun Dr Ismail. KL Foodie's May 2025 guide picked it as one of the best cocktail bars in KL and PJ and described its setting as a humble neighbourhood.
The opening times printed in that guide overlap and contradict each other, so we only give the pattern: closed Monday and Tuesday, open from the afternoon on other days. Check the bar's social media before you go.
Beer Mad
Beer Mad is a kitchen-and-bar concept with its original outlet on Jalan SS15/4E in Subang Jaya, a street with several other pubs and bars. Its own website describes Asian fusion food with an emphasis on meat dishes, served alongside beer.
The website lists the SS15 outlet as open daily from 2 pm to midnight, phone 019-334 5322. The group also has branches in Bandar Rimbayu and outside Selangor. SS15 LRT station is nearby.
Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill
Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill is the steakhouse and bar off the lobby of Sunway Resort Hotel in Bandar Sunway, next to Sunway Pyramid mall and Sunway Lagoon. The hotel's own page lists the lounge and bar as open daily from noon to 11 pm, with classic cocktails, Malaysian-inspired creations, premium spirits and a large wine list.
During its Negroni Week in September 2025 the bar priced cocktails at RM60+ each, which gives a fair idea of what to expect. Reservations are on +603 7492 8000. Expect hotel prices; this is the most polished bar on this list.
The Society Restaurant & Bar
The Society is a large restaurant-bar in Setia Alam, on the Klang side of Shah Alam, serving East-meets-West food with a cocktail list. An October 2025 Eat Drink KL feature mentions Balinese pork ribs, pork poutine and Sarawak laksa on the food side, and cocktails such as the Scorpion (rum with brandy and orange) and a soju bowl.
The same feature gives the hours above and phone 012-271 3121. The menu includes pork, so it is not halal. It is the only bar on this list in the Shah Alam and Klang area, where bars are scarce.
How to Plan a Night at Selangor Bars
The bars on this page are far apart: Setia Alam to Taman Paramount is roughly a 30-minute drive without traffic. Pick one area for the evening. Taman Paramount and Damansara Kim are close to each other in Petaling Jaya, and SS15 and Bandar Sunway are close to each other in Subang Jaya.
