World Peace Memorial
The World Peace Memorial is in the form of a pedestal with a flock of doves in flight. It is situated in Air Itam War Memorial Park after the park was undergoing an RM400,000 facelift. The funding came from private donations as well as from the Penang state government. It was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Penang, Mr. Lim Guan Eng on 11 November 2011, the 60th anniversary of the original unveiling of the Penang Overseas Chinese Anti-War Memorial, the main feature of the park.
