Pinang Fountain Roundabout

The Pinang Fountain Roundabout, abstract sculpture stands on a traffic roundabout near the Queen Victoria Memorial Clock Tower in George Town, Penang Island, Malaysia. The 4.8 metre tall metal which shows the two pinang fruits, one standing in the centre with the other cut into two halves and placed by the side. It was designed to symbolise Penang Island as the island of betel nuts.

Pinang Fountain Roundabout is surrounded by waterspouts and makes for a stark contrast to the earlier period clock tower. It was erected by the Penang state government in the early 2000s.

The Pinang Fountain Roundabout is open daily. Free admission.
